A key to our customer’s satisfaction is taking time to clearly define needs and goals in order to provide innovative solutions. Our attention to detail in the early stage of a project clearly charts a direct path to success.
Copperpillar maintains a lean and professional staff thoroughly trained and versed in a proprietary seven-step design and optimization program. With attention to detail and a concise plan, goals are attained and success is realized.
Step 1: What is the customer telling us?
Such a simple but critical step that is easy to overlook when too familiar with the technology and too close to day to day operations. In this first step of the process, we take the time to carefully listen to our customer’s challenges and establish a clear base line from which to formulate a solution.
Step 2: What does victory look like?
Knowing the end goal and working in reverse is the second critical step in our process. We work closely with the customer to make certain that victory is defined, clearly delineated and measureable goals are developed which ensures all parties agree prior to the start of a project.
Step 3: What do we need to succeed?
Evaluating the tools and expertise needed prior to starting a project is the third of the key steps in our process. Tapping into expertise both from internal and outside industry consultants, we take the time to fully define the strategy and tools needed to ensure success.
Step 4: Take Time to Define
Proven to save time and as the fourth step, we organize and map the availability of industry experts, technical resources and internal staff schedules to clearly forecast a realistic timeline. With significant experience in program and project management, we rely on past performance and knowledge of resources required and achievable run rates to develop a workable project timeline with milestone checks at regular intervals.
Step 5: Qualify and Quantify
By forecasting potential challenges and calculating equipment needs, we establish a bankable budget and timeline for projects of any magnitude as the fifth step of our process. With a clear understanding of resources required, we ensure that change orders are minimized which in turn ensures a profitable and timely project completion.
Step 6: Put a Name on It
Selecting a characterized yet simple name for a project, helps to standardize the measures expected across all disciplines of an organization and allows for quick recall when projects are repeated nationally. As the sixth step of the process, this simple step ensures all stakeholders recognize the expectations based on previous deployments which results in consistent quality every time.
Step 7: Plot a Course Home
With strategy, tools and resources in line, the course home is clearly defined and hurdles anticipated which helps to ensure a smooth execution of a project. As the final step of our process, we also implement efficient tracking tools to ensure a successfully executed project and very clear communication which maximizes profitability and ensures success.
